Doris McCartney and Ronald Swann murder: Police arrest Rowville man

A man has been arrested over the brutal double murder of an elderly man and his sister more than 30 years ago in Melbourne.

Victoria Police confirmed they arrested the 58-year-old Rowville man on Thursday morning, just more than a week after they announced a $1 million reward for information into the case.

Doris McCartney, 71, and Ronald Swann, 69, were found dead in their home in Keith Street, Moorabbin, on October 22, 1989.

They had been assaulted but police did not know who killed them or…
