Two injured when teen drove car into Melbourne crowd, court told

A teenager who drove his car into a group of people on New Year’s Day is trying to get bail.

Luke Perry, 19, appeared in the Melbourne Magistrates Court on Wednesday charged with reckless conduct endangering life, driving under the influence of drugs, drug possession and drug trafficking.

Victoria Police Detective acting Sergeant Tim Cahill told the court the incident happened after an event at the Port Melbourne Yacht Club ended at 10pm.
